Best Casino Bonuses 2026– Welcome Offers Ranked by Real Value
The best casino bonuses are not the biggest ones. A €200 bonus you can realistically clear is worth more than a €3,000 package that expires before you are halfway through the wagering. That is why we rank every offer on this page by its real value to an ordinary player, not by the number in the banner.
Every bonus listed here comes from a casino our team has reviewed in full, and every listing shows the terms that decide its value: wagering requirement, maximum bet, maximum cashout, eligible games and expiry. We re-check the live terms every day, because operators change their offers far more often than their banners suggest.
Below the list you will find a complete guide to casino bonuses: the different types, the simple maths that tells you what an offer is worth, the terms to read first and the mistakes that most often cost players their winnings.
Types of Casino Bonuses
Casinos use a handful of bonus formats, often combined into a single "welcome package". Knowing how each works is the first step to comparing them fairly.
Welcome Bonus (Deposit Match)
The classic offer: the casino matches your first deposit by a percentage, for example 100% up to €200. Deposit €100 and you receive €100 in bonus funds. Many casinos spread a welcome package across the first three or four deposits, sometimes with free spins attached. The match percentage and the maximum amount are the least important parts of the offer; the wagering and the restrictions decide its value.
Free Spins
Free spins are credited on one or more named slots at a fixed value per spin, usually €0.10 to €0.20. They are offered on their own, as part of a welcome package or as a reward for existing players. Winnings are normally credited as bonus money with a wagering requirement, though no-wagering free spins are increasingly common. Our free spins bonuses page compares spin offers on spin value, RTP of the eligible slot and maximum win.
No Deposit Bonus
A small amount of free cash or free spins credited at registration, before you deposit. These offers carry the strictest terms of all, including a cap on what you can withdraw. They are best used as a free test of a casino. Our no deposit bonuses guide explains how to judge them.
Reload Bonus
A deposit match for existing players, usually smaller than the welcome bonus, for example 50% up to €100 on a weekend deposit. Reloads often have lower wagering than welcome offers. They are a good sign that a casino values players after sign-up, not only before. See our reload bonuses page for current offers.
Cashback
A percentage of your net losses over a period, typically 5% to 20% each week, returned to your account. The key question is whether cashback is paid as real, withdrawable cash or as bonus money with wagering attached. Real-money cashback with no wagering is one of the most valuable regular promotions available. Our cashback bonuses page separates the two.
VIP and Loyalty Rewards
Points earned on every bet that can be exchanged for bonus funds, free spins or cash, plus higher tiers with faster withdrawals, personal account managers and higher limits. Loyalty schemes are only worth something if the conversion rate is published and the rewards are realistic for your level of play.
High Roller Bonus
A welcome or reload offer with a higher maximum, for example 50% up to €2,000, aimed at players who deposit larger amounts. The maths is the same as for any other bonus: check the wagering before you commit a large deposit to it.
Tournaments and Prize Drops
Leaderboard competitions and random prize drops run by casinos and game providers. You usually take part automatically by playing eligible games at a minimum stake. Prizes are often paid in cash without wagering, which makes them attractive, but they should never be a reason to raise your stakes.
Crypto Bonuses
Casinos that accept cryptocurrency often advertise larger bonuses for crypto deposits. These offers usually come from operators with offshore licences, and their terms can differ from fiat bonuses at the same site. Our Bitcoin casinos guide covers what to check.
How to Calculate What a Casino Bonus Is Really Worth
You do not need advanced maths to compare bonuses. One simple calculation tells you most of what you need to know: how much you must bet, and how much the house edge is expected to take from that amount.
Step 1: total wagering. Multiply the amount the requirement applies to by the multiple. A €100 bonus at 35x the bonus means €3,500 of bets. The same requirement applied to deposit plus bonus (€200 at 35x) means €7,000.
Step 2: expected cost. Multiply the total wagering by the house edge of the games you will play. On a slot with 96% RTP, the house edge is 4%. €3,500 of bets costs €140 on average.
Step 3: compare. If the expected cost is lower than the bonus, the offer adds value on average. If it is higher, you can expect to lose more through the extra wagering than the bonus gives you.
Here is the result for a €100 bonus on a 96% RTP slot, assuming you would not otherwise have wagered that much.
Wagering requirement | Total to bet | Expected cost at 96% RTP | Average value of the €100 bonus |
|---|---|---|---|
No wagering | €0 | €0 | +€100 |
10x bonus | €1,000 | €40 | +€60 |
20x bonus | €2,000 | €80 | +€20 |
25x bonus | €2,500 | €100 | €0 |
35x bonus | €3,500 | €140 | –€40 |
35x deposit + bonus | €7,000 | €280 | –€180 |
This is a simplified model. Real sessions vary enormously, slot RTPs differ and some players hit a large win that carries them through any requirement. But the direction never changes: the lower the wagering, the more a bonus is worth, and requirements applied to deposit plus bonus are much harder than they look. It is also why regulators such as the UK Gambling Commission, which capped promotional wagering at 10x from January 2026, focus on this one number.
Sticky vs Non-Sticky Bonuses
This distinction matters almost as much as wagering, and many players have never heard of it.
With a non-sticky bonus, sometimes called a parachute bonus, your deposit and your bonus are held in separate balances. You play with your own money first. If you win while your real balance is still in play, you can withdraw those winnings and simply forfeit the bonus. Only if your real money runs out does the bonus balance come into play. That gives you a genuine second chance at no extra cost, which makes non-sticky offers worth considerably more than the same bonus in sticky form.
With a sticky bonus, deposit and bonus are combined from the start. Nothing can be withdrawn until the full wagering is complete, and in some cases the bonus amount itself is removed when you cash out. Sticky bonuses lock up your own deposit as well as the bonus.
We state on every listing whether a bonus is sticky or non-sticky. If the terms do not say, ask support before you deposit.
The Bonus Terms Checklist
Before you claim any casino bonus, check these terms. This table shows what a fair term looks like and what should make you think twice.
Term | Fair | Think twice |
|---|---|---|
Wagering requirement | 10x–25x the bonus, or none | 40x or more, or applied to deposit + bonus |
Bonus type | Non-sticky | Sticky, with the bonus removed at cashout |
Maximum bet while wagering | €5 per spin or more, clearly stated | €2 or less, or hidden in general terms |
Maximum cashout | None on deposit bonuses | Any cap on a deposit bonus |
Expiry | 30 days or more | 7 days or less for a large requirement |
Game contribution | Most slots at 100%, table games listed | Long list of excluded slots, all table games at 0% |
Payment method exclusions | Clearly listed | Discovered only after depositing |
Bonus abuse clause | Specific behaviours defined | Vague "irregular play" with no definition |
One more check is worth doing: compare the offer in the casino's own terms with what is advertised. Discrepancies are more common than they should be, and the written terms always win.
Which Games Should You Play With a Bonus?
Most bonus terms are written for slots. Slots usually count 100% towards wagering, while table games count 0% to 10% and live dealer games are often excluded entirely. A few practical rules follow from that.
Choose slots with a high, verified RTP. Every percentage point of RTP reduces the expected cost of wagering. On €3,500 of bets, the difference between a 94% and a 96% slot is €70. Check the RTP in the game's information screen, because many slots exist in several versions.
Match volatility to the requirement. For low wagering, a low-volatility slot keeps your balance steady while you complete it. For higher wagering, medium volatility gives you a better chance of building a balance that survives the requirement.
Do not use bonus money to learn table games. If you want to play roulette, blackjack, baccarat or video poker, learn the rules and strategy without spending anything in our demo versions: free roulette, free blackjack, free baccarat and free video poker. Then look for a bonus that explicitly allows table games at a reasonable contribution, or play them without a bonus.
Respect the max bet. Breaking the maximum bet rule, even once, is the most common reason winnings are voided. Set your stake before you start and do not raise it while the bonus is active.
Welcome Packages Explained: A Worked Example
Multi-deposit welcome packages look generous because the casino adds the maximum of every stage together. Here is a typical example and how to read it.
Stage | Advertised offer | Wagering | What you need to deposit for the full amount |
|---|---|---|---|
1st deposit | 100% up to €500 + 100 free spins | 35x bonus | €500 |
2nd deposit | 75% up to €500 | 35x bonus | €667 |
3rd deposit | 50% up to €1,000 | 35x bonus | €2,000 |
Total | "€2,000 + 100 free spins" | €3,167 |
To receive the full €2,000 you would need to deposit more than €3,100 and then wager €70,000 in total (35 × €2,000). Very few players intend to do either. A player depositing €50 at each stage would receive €50 + €37.50 + €25 in bonus money, or €112.50, and the wagering on that amount, about €3,940, is what actually matters.
The practical rule is to ignore the package total and look only at the first stage, at the amount you were planning to deposit anyway. If that stage is fair, consider the next one later. If it is not, you lose nothing by declining the whole package.
Bonus Codes: When You Need Them and Where to Find Them
Some bonuses are credited automatically when you deposit. Others only activate if you enter a code at registration, in the cashier or on the promotions page. Codes are also used for exclusive offers negotiated by partner sites, which can carry better terms than the public version, such as lower wagering, more free spins or a higher maximum.
Where a code is needed, we show it on the listing together with the exact place to enter it. Three habits avoid most problems. Enter the code before you confirm your deposit, not afterwards. Check that the bonus appears in your account before you start playing. And keep a screenshot of the offer and its terms, which makes any later dispute much easier to resolve.
Be wary of codes found on forums or social media that promise unusually large amounts. Many are expired, many belong to unlicensed sites, and some are simply bait for phishing pages that imitate real casinos.
How We Rank Casino Bonuses
Every bonus on this page comes from a casino that has passed our full review. Our casino reviews score operators on five weighted criteria: 30% licensing, 25% payout speed, 20% bonus fairness, 15% complaint history and 10% games. The complete method is on our page explaining how we review online casinos.
For the bonus ranking itself, we combine three things:
- Real value. The expected value calculation above, adjusted for sticky or non-sticky structure and for the RTP of the games that count.
- Clarity and fairness of terms. Clear max bet rules, published game weighting, a reasonable expiry and no vague confiscation clauses.
- The casino behind it. A great bonus from a casino with slow payments or unresolved complaints is not a great bonus. The operator's overall safety score is part of the ranking.
We never rank by headline amount, and casinos cannot pay to move their offers up the list.
The Best Bonus for Your Style of Play
The right bonus depends on how and where you play.
First-time players should start small. A no deposit offer or a modest welcome bonus with low wagering lets you learn how bonuses work without much at stake. Our list of best online casinos shows which operators combine fair bonuses with fast, reliable payouts.
Mobile players sometimes get app-only offers or free spins for installing an app. Terms are usually the same as on desktop. Our mobile casinos guide covers the operators whose apps performed best in testing.
Players who like new brands will find that recently launched casinos often offer the most competitive bonuses, because they need to win players from established sites. Our new online casinos list includes only operators that have passed our licence and withdrawal checks.
Crypto players should compare crypto-specific bonuses with standard ones at the same casino; the larger offer is not always the better one. Our Bitcoin casinos guide explains the licensing questions to ask first.
Table game players should look for cashback rather than match bonuses. Cashback rarely restricts games, and real-money cashback has no wagering at all.
Regular players get the most from reloads, cashback and loyalty schemes with published conversion rates. A casino that rewards you after sign-up is usually a casino that treats players well in general.
Casino Bonus Rules by Market
Bonus rules are increasingly set by regulators rather than by casinos, so the same brand may offer very different terms in different countries.
- Great Britain: wagering on casino promotions capped at 10x since January 2026, and promotions that mix casino and sports betting are no longer allowed.
- Germany: licensed slots are limited to €1 per spin with a minimum of five seconds per spin, which makes high wagering very slow to complete.
- Spain, Italy and Portugal: bonuses are permitted but subject to national advertising and consumer rules, so offers are typically smaller and more tightly worded.
- Brazil: licensed operators may not offer advance bonuses to players under the national betting law.
- Offshore-licensed casinos: generally free to set their own terms, which is why their offers look bigger and their conditions are often tougher.
We show only offers that are available in your country, under the terms that apply there.
How to Claim a Casino Bonus Step by Step
- Pick an offer from a licensed casino. Use the list at the top of this page or our ranking of the best online casinos.
- Read the full bonus terms. Note the wagering, whether the bonus is sticky, the max bet, excluded games, excluded payment methods and the expiry.
- Register with accurate details. They must match your ID, or your withdrawal will be delayed.
- Choose an eligible payment method. Some e-wallets and prepaid cards are excluded from bonuses at certain casinos.
- Enter the bonus code if needed and make your deposit. Confirm that the bonus appears in your account before playing.
- Set your stake below the max bet and play eligible games. Track your wagering progress in your account.
- Verify your identity early and withdraw once wagering is complete. Use the same method you deposited with where possible.
Common Bonus Mistakes
These are the mistakes behind most of the bonus complaints we receive.
- Claiming a bonus without reading the full terms, then discovering a max cashout or an excluded game after a win.
- Exceeding the maximum bet, even for a single spin.
- Depositing with a payment method that is excluded from the bonus, such as some e-wallets.
- Playing table or live games that do not count, and running out of time.
- Requesting a withdrawal before wagering is complete, which cancels the bonus at many casinos.
- Opening more than one account to claim the same offer twice.
- Taking a bonus by default. Declining is always an option, and with high wagering it is often the better one.
Play Responsibly
Bonuses are marketing. They are designed to encourage you to play more, and wagering requirements by definition ask you to bet more than you would otherwise. Set a budget before you claim any offer, and do not raise it to finish a requirement. You must be 18 or older (21 in some places) to gamble. Use the deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion tools that licensed casinos provide. If gambling stops being fun, our responsible gambling page lists free, confidential help services by country.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best casino bonus right now?
The top offer in the list above is the best-value bonus for your country today, based on wagering, terms and the casino's safety score. It changes as casinos update their offers, which we check daily.
Is it better to take a bonus or play without one?
It depends on the wagering. With no wagering or low wagering, a bonus adds value. With 35x or more, especially on deposit plus bonus, you may be better off playing without one so that your winnings are withdrawable immediately.
What does 35x wagering mean?
It means you must place bets totalling 35 times the amount the requirement applies to before withdrawing. On a €100 bonus, that is €3,500 in bets. If the requirement applies to deposit plus bonus, it doubles.
Can I withdraw my deposit if I take a bonus?
With a non-sticky bonus, yes, as long as you have not started using bonus funds. With a sticky bonus, usually not until the wagering is complete. Check the terms before depositing.
Why was my bonus winnings confiscated?
The most common reasons are exceeding the max bet, playing excluded games, using a restricted payment method or holding more than one account. If you believe a casino voided winnings unfairly, contact its support, then its regulator or an independent dispute service.
Do casino bonuses work on mobile?
Yes. Bonuses are tied to your account, not your device. Some casinos also run mobile-only promotions.
Are casino bonuses taxed?
Bonuses themselves are not usually taxed, but winnings may be, depending on your country. Check local rules.
